Dr. Pournik has been providing the Same-Day Implant Smiles procedure since 2012, and has completed hundreds of implant cases since. She is a Fellow of the Institute for Oral Implantology and has completed extensive advanced training in full-mouth reconstruction.

Your Same-Day Smile Journey: What to Expect
1. Advanced 3D Planning
Your treatment begins with detailed 3D CBCT imaging and digital scans. Dr. Pournik evaluates your bone, bite and overall structure, then plans the exact position of each implant before any procedure begins.
2. Customized Treatment Design
Every case is designed around your specific anatomy and goals. Dr. Pournik determines the type of implants, the number of implants and the best approach for your long-term result.
3. Implant Placement
Dr. Pournik does any necessary extractions then places the implants in the areas of strongest bone, using surgical guides generated from the 3D planning. She adds a bone graft to each implant to ensure stability and longevity. Our sedation options ensure it is a pain-free experience.
4. Same-Day Teeth
A fixed set of temporary teeth is placed on the same day, so you can leave with a functional smile. You will receive eating instructions to follow while your implants fully heal.
5. Healing & Integration
Over the next few months, the implants will integrate with your bone to create a strong foundation. During this time, your temporary teeth allow you to maintain your appearance and function.
6. Final Teeth
Once healing is complete, your permanent Zirconia teeth are designed and placed. Dr. Pournik will ensure that your new teeth have proper fit for comfort and function to go with your beautiful new smile!
